At Willowstone Academy it’s not enough for us to merely change with education–as an independent faith-based Kelowna private school and preschool, we are always adapting to the needs of our local and global communities.

Our partnerships between school and home are so important – not only for student success, but for creating a community where everyone belongs, where individual faith journeys are celebrated and where we are all focused on learning that matters. This is particularly true in those tender, early years as our littlest learners are spending time away from home and primary caregivers for perhaps the first time. And that’s a big step for children…and parents, too!

At Willowstone, we are committed to every child and we know that children are most successful when they feel that their teacher sees them, believes in them and likes them. This is the foundation of our work, and because of our boutique-sized school, all of our teachers are invested in all of our students. And that really is a gift for children…and teachers! We wouldn’t have it any other way. So, when you hold your child’s hand as you cross the parking lot and walk into the classroom, well, the teacher’s smile says it all. You’re in good hands and you know your children will feel like they matter and they’ll know that they belong.

And, ultimately, that is our commitment from our Preschool to our Elementary School and right through our Middle School. Our team is unwavering in our dedication to creating a space where children can be brave, where their unique strengths are celebrated, and where we are all part of a journey together: from toddlers to teenagers and beyond.
